This was the first Contemporary painting / transfer Drawing that I created. (I think). It was me thinking about my life after the tragic loss of my partner. Fortunately , You will never know that feeling of despair, until you go through it later in life. In her case, the situation was curable, and she was young, beautiful, and talented, which made it that much more devastating.
And I blamed myself, and I really did not want to go on. And this was done on a particularly bad day. And it was my asking, will I ever find love and happiness again? And let me tell you. You need to make sure and cherish your partner. There will come a day when they will be gone, and its freaking devastating. so you need to make sure and cherish that NOW. And work out any little issues that you 2 may have.
Piece details. This piece has lots of fine art photography, which was transferred by solvent transfer. The obvious images are the vatican Sistine chapel ceiling, and the branch with the piece of art I believe is from vatican musem . The turtle is silver, but it is called the golden turtle in Piazza della Signoria. The other images on the right and left are from Torre di Bellosguardo. The right is a day photo, and the left is a night photo. As you can see the glow of the city lights.
