Politics is a nasty thing. People using religion and politics to sell their stuff, or forward their agenda is something that makes me want to throw up. And that is so very very disappointing.
1. Think Black lives matter, where people are pandering for attention, as if they are helping improve the situation for African Americans. I hope Im wrong, but as always, it seems there has been no meaningful policies put into place to resolve some major inequities. Yet everyone got their rocks off pretending they did something beneficial to help african Americans.
2. And the best example of people using politics and religion. Trumps political campaign, and him pretending to be a christian to get the religious rights vote. Meanwhile, its obvious that he is just manipulating ignorant people. He is caught red handed buying hookers, and talking about "grabbing pussy." Its quite funny, and unfortunate that people are so dumb to align with his fake Christianity.

These 2 artworks, "american flag" and "american flag 2" representing the joy seeing the election ended. I personally felt a weight removed, and made these contemporary paintings. The best way i could articulate my feeling was through these works.
These were my celebration of the end of a truly disappointing era in history. Not because trump was incompetent. But because he was such a manipulative, lying, asshole.
